The painting to the right is Neshama (Nun), an acrylic and mixed media painting that I produced in 2018. It is part of an ongoing series, The Dark Matter Tablets, a reference to the vast amounts of unaccounted-for mass and energy making up the universe, which scientists have been unable to directly observe or understand. The Dark Matter Tablets are explorations into the nature of creation and existence, informed by my readings on Hebrew letters and their mystical meanings, and meant to express my sense of the deeply spiritual nature of this mystery, and the creative nature of language.
